These rules apply
to all persons attending any event organised by the Club and will be
displayed for the benefit of non-members.
-
The Judge's
decision is final and binding. Any queries
to be referred to a Member of the Committee
who can be recognised by their name badge.
Discourtesy to Judges, Stewards or Club
Officials will not be tolerated and the
Committee will take action against the
person concerned.
-
Objections to be submitted in writing to the Chairman or
Show Secretary within 15 minutes of the close of the
class together with a deposit of £10 which will be
returned if the objection is up-held by the Judge,
Steward and Committee.
-
The
Committee retain the right to ban any horse/pony or
rider/handler from any Show or event.
-
Timings
of classes - the times in this schedule are approximate.
The right is reserved to vary the order or composition
of the schedule, or to split or combine classes if
entries dictate. It is the responsibility of the
competitor to enter classes which do not clash as Judges
will not delay classes indefinitely for late
competitors. If a Judge decides to change the time
of their lunch break then this will be announced at
least one class in advance.
-
No late
entries will be accepted once the class has
started. Alterations to entries must
be notified to the entry desk or class
steward before the start of the class.
Incorrect details on the class sheet may
cause loss of a place, qualification or
Championship Points. Please use the
same name for the horse/pony all season to
avoid any misunderstanding. A horse/pony may
only enter a Working hunter or Handy Pony
class once on the day and may not re-enter
with a different rider.
-
Please
check your change before leaving the entries desk, as
mistakes cannot be rectified later.
-
Apart
from genuine injury to horse or rider/handler entry fees
will NOT be refunded.
-
The
Club and Committee accept no responsibility for
accident, loss or damage to any animal, rider/handlers,
spectators, vehicles or any property. It is
therefore advisable that competitors are fully insured.
In the event of an accident a veterinary surgeon has
full authority to act.
-
FIRST AID &
VETERINARY ATTENTION - Several Club
Officials are first aiders and in the event
of a all or serious accident please do not
move the person unless a qualified first
aider instructs. If a first aider or the
Judge so considers, a rider will not be
allowed to continue after a fall or
accident. (No loss of points). If a
horse/pony is injured a Vet of the owner's
choice can quickly be called out or the Club
will call out a duty Vet from the practice
of Mr B Johnson if necessary. If
a Judge considers a horse or pony to be lame
it must leave the ring if the Judge so
requests.
-
Correctly secured skull caps/riding hats to BSI Standard
4472 or 6473/PAS015 must be worn by any rider when
mounted on any part of the showground or box park. A
competitor whose hat comes off or unfastened whilst
competing MUST replace/fasten it before continuing (and
will not be penalised for doing so) or they will be
eliminated from the class. Any competitor aged
under 16 must wear a hard hat in all classes, both
ridden and in hand (including the Young Riders ring) as
an extra safety precaution.

out of the ring. Spurs-not allowed in an Equitation
